Chris Helliwell

I am an amateur New Zealand  Photographer who specialises in images of New Zealand Nature, Landscapes and Macro subjects.  I have always had an interest in wildlife and photography but it was not until recently that the two have combined.

My macro images show the detail and beauty of the insect world that people just walk past or don't know exist.

My images have appeared in the New Zealand Geographic magazine, photographic exhibitions around New Zealand and I have won a number of photographic awards including just being named NZ Macro Amateur Photographer of the Year.

My macro workshop will cover the basic techniques, equipment and lighting required to photograph live macro subjects.  I will also talk about image stacking and back lighting to enhance your macro techniques.

At the end of the workshop there will be some time to put into practice the techniques I have talked about so bring any macro equipment you have (i.e. extension tubes, macro lens, flashes and of course - your camera.
