Esther Bunning
Esther Bunning grew up on a dairy farm in Taranaki, and her love of atmospheric & soft, dreamy realities is surely a throwback to this rural world.
Esther specialises in photographing people, and loves to work creatively - whether in camera or in post production. Her portraits may have soft lines, chalky hues and moody enigma, or bright pops of colour to show humour and energy. She loves to plan a photographs of people based around their passions or interest, so the images become an extension of the people themselves. Esther cut her 'photography teeth' shooting film, and processing and experimenting in the darkroom and this has extended to her work in digital capture. She particularly loves to experiment with alternative processes, lens, creative techniques as she has a love of blur, movement. Her preference is working with sunshine. She'll be sharing a number of her creative techniques, how she works with lens baby, and showing how she photographs people, in her signature organic style.
Esther is an international award-winning portrait photographer, a Grand Master of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography, and a Nikon Ambassador for New Zealand.
