Glen is a Professional Photographer and tutor at the school of Photography (Whiteria) based at Paraparaumu. He is an outstanding photographer who from his teenage years developed his love for photography and sees it as a vehicle for understanding the world around him and reflecting his objective senses into appreciating that moment in time when that moment is captured.
After completing his photography studies in Wellington he began a four year employment as a press photographer. He then travelled extensively overseas photographing world" before returning to New Zealand and becoming a lecturer in photography at Massey University.
For Glen his photography is all about capturing a point in time through the purest lens, with a sense of prophecy, honesty and passion. He would describe his photography as contempary and real.
In 2005 Glen attained two bronze awards at NZIPP for two of his landscape images.
In 2004 he achieved third place in the Travel Photographer of the Year - an international competition for his entry in the spirit of adventure category. Glen was the only finalist from New Zealand.
This is obvious from his outstanding photographs of the devastated Christchurch following he earthquakes. This will be the theme of his talk to us at the convention. His forthcoming book - "Please demolish with a Kind Heart" will be available at the Convention.
